Women’s Judging Accreditation-Registration & Information

Registration for online judging exams is available to both members and non-members of USA Gymnastics. You must have a username/password. Haven't created a username and password? Click here.
Registration for the Online Compulsory Level 4/5 Judging exam is available to individuals who are a minimum of 16 years of age.
Once registered, you may take the exam at your convenience. The Compulsory exam will be timed. You will have a total of 60 minutes to complete a 50-question multiple choice exam. Results will be sent via email from USA Gymnastics within minutes of completion of the exam. Cost is $25 per exam part. Click here to register.
To achieve your Compulsory rating, you may take the Compulsory exam 4 times in the same Accreditation year (Aug. 1 to July 31).
Version A1 – 1st time taking exam
Version B1 – 2nd time taking exam
Version A2 – 3rd time taking exam
Version B2 – 4th time taking exam
Online Optional Level 8, 9, 10 Exam Registrations
Registration for the Online Optional Levels 8, 9, and 10 Judging exams is available to individuals who are a minimum of 16 years of age for Level 8, and a minimum of 18 years of age for Levels 9 and 10.
As of August 1, 2026, the 2026-30 Development Program Optional Written and Practical exams are available as online exams ONLY. Cost: $30 per exam part.
The Written exams will be timed. You will have a total of 90 minutes to complete a 50-question multiple choice exam. The Practical Exam is self-paced, but you will have a designated time limit to judge each routine within every section. Results will be sent via email from USA Gymnastics within minutes of completion of the exam.
To achieve an Optional rating, you may take an exam part as many as 4 times in the same Accreditation year (Aug. 1 to July 31).
Important Notice: If you are registering for the Level 9 or 10 Written exam for the first time, please be aware that you must have held a complete Level 8 or Level 9 rating respectively for a minimum of one year before being eligible to "test up". An exception applies to individuals who meet the requirements for a judging exemption.
Device and equipment requirements for Level 8, 9, 10 Exams
Use a personal desktop or laptop computer (phones and tablets are not supported). Devices from schools or employers may not have the correct permission to be able to take the exams.
Confirm your computer has a working webcam. Most laptops have built-in webcams
If not, an external webcam is required.
Install and use Google Chrome (this is the only supported browser)
It is strongly recommended that your COP and reference materials be accessible on a different device than the one you’re using to take the exam. Please reference the VitalSource Bookshelf website or Bookshelf app for instruction on how to access the COP on multiple devices.
