WJX1: Women's Xcel Bronze/Silver/Gold Judging Exam is a 50-question multiple choice exam on the 2021-29 Women's Xcel rules and deductions. Registration for the exam is available to both members and non-members of USA Gymnastics who are a minimum of 16 years of age and have completed the J110: 2021-26 Women’s Xcel Bronze/Silver/Gold Judges’ Course.
Exam Details
Once registered, you may take the exam at your convenience. Be aware that once you begin the exam, you will have 90 minutes to complete it.
Be prepared to take the exam by purchasing the current Xcel Code of Points (hard copy or iCode).
The passing rate is 70%. Once you have submitted your test, you will receive an email from USA Gymnastics that indicates a Pass or Fail result. Whenever a test is failed, you will receive information about your weak event(s) and have an unlimited number of attempts to re-test until July 2026 (re-registration and payment is required for each re-test). This rating will be accessed in your Profile under Certificates, where you can also print a judges' rating card, provided you complete all Judge Membership requirements.
Minors taking the course must be logged in to their own profile, not their parent/guardian profile, to receive credit for the course. View page 2 of the Parent How-To Guide for further information.
To print course certificates, individuals must have an active USA Gymnastics membership (Recreational Coach, Competitive Coach, Judge, Owner/Managing Director, or Athlete).

$25 for USA Gymnastics Members and Non-Members
Course fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another individual.
Course registrants must be a minimum of 16 years old.
