Examination Details
Date: February 19th, 11:00am – 2:00pm EST (participants in all time zones take the exam at the same time)
The exam will take place online. It will include Individual (RGI) Levels 3-5, Synchronized Level 4 Group, and Beginner Group. Below is an outline of the routines that will be evaluated in the exam:
RGI Difficulty (15 routines)
Level 3 – 1 Ball
Level 4 – 3 Rope, 3 Hoop
Level 5 – 2 Ball, 3 Clubs, 3 Ribbon

Exam Type
All Development Program Judging Exams for 2022 will include only practical (video) examination. There will be no written (theory) questions. See the detailed outline for exact numbers and types of routines.

Technical Details
All examinees should take the exam on a laptop/computer. Phones and tablets should not be used to take the exam.
The Chrome browser is recommended for best user experience.
A wired internet connection is recommended, if possible.
An internet connection of at least 25mbps should be used during the exam. You can check your internet speed at fast.com

Time Calculations
All judges should start the exam promptly at the official exam start time of February 19th at 11:00am EST for Level 3-5 (with L4 Synch and Beg Group).
Judges will be in control of pressing the "play" button for each routine and advancing the slides to the next routine.
It will not be possible to pause or rewind routines.
All difficulty routines will play one time. All execution routines will be played two times.
You will have 2 minutes after each routine to review your notes and input your answers in the online portal.
Once a judge has submitted their answers, they may click to move on to the next routine. If the time to submit answers on a routine runs out, the exam will automatically prompt the judge to move on to the next exercise, recording any answers already given.
Judges should finish evaluating the last routine of the exam by the exam end time (2:00pm EST on February 19th). There is a 15-minute grace period for the ending time on each exam in the case of technical difficulty or other delay. The exam portal will remain open for an additional 15 minutes after the stated end time for each exam. After that point will close and only consider answers given up to that point.
Question Types
Questions will be presented textually. For example, the exam will ask, "What is the value of the 1st (first) DB?". The judge will have buttons that they can select 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, etc.
It will not be required to type any information in for the exam questions. For all questions, judges will click the box of the correct answer, like a multiple choice exam.
There will be only one correct answer for each question. In the case that there was a discrepancy in control scores for a question, the question/element will be valued 0 points, however, the judge will still put in their score.
Exam Integrity
Judges must work independently and refrain from collaborating with others during the exam.
To ensure that each judge is giving an independent score, the routines will be randomized within each component of the score and event on the exam.
For example, while judging the 4 Level 6-8 ball routines, some judges will receive them in the order A, B, C, D, some D, C, B, A, some B, C, A, D, and so on.
Once a judge submits their score (or time runs out and the test moves on), it will not be possible to return to previous routines to change answers.
Passing Scores/Results
A passing score for the exam is 60%.
Results will be emailed to participants within one to two days from the exam completion.
Retest
A re-test opportunity with different exams will be available on February 26th (same times) for anyone who cannot participate in the original test date or needs another opportunity to pass. Only one re-test date will be offered.
Exam Creation & Grading Process
The control scores for each component of the exam have been determined by subsets of the following individuals:

Elena Savenkova – Development Program Coordinator (and Brevet I/II Judge)
Jayme Riggleman (Vincent) – Rhythmic Program Manager (and Brevet III Judge)
Olga Kutuzova – Rhythmic Judges Representative (and Brevet IIII Judge)
In cases where there were differences in control scores between graders, the element in question will be set to a value of 0pts in the exam, meaning, it will not matter how the test-takers answer that question. This is to ensure that any questionable elements/components are not part of the judges' evaluation.
Additionally, any elements that were determined to be difficult to see, due to the video angle will be set to a value of 0pts on the exam and it will not affect grades.
In any case where the apparatus goes out of the top of the screen on a throw, it is to be assumed that the apparatus was thrown high enough to meet the height requirement of the element in question.
