Summary Description
The Programs Assistant is responsible for providing overall administrative and management support to the Programs Department. This position will support USA Gymnastics efforts in the promotion of a safe and healthy training environment for all participants and will report to the Chief Programs Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide overall administrative assistance to the Programs Department across all disciplines including supporting the Chief Programs Officer on day-to-day basis
- Support in management of program related paperwork, maintain files and monitor reports as requested
- Maintain a central database for program contacts and calendars
- Act as central point of contact and provide overall management for apparel needs for all disciplines including assisting with ordering, inventory, and distribution of National Team apparel as directed
- Coordinate shipping and logistics needs for program events and camps
- Assist with the planning and on-site support for program related events, competitions, and activities
- Assist with domestic and international travel for meetings, camps, events and competitions for participants
- Support in preparation and management of delegation materials for international competitions
- Assist in managing and maintaining International Gymnastics Federation licenses
- Liaise with other USA Gymnastics departments as necessary to complete projects
- All other duties as assigned
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Olympic Movement; experience in gymnastics as an athlete, coach, and/or administrator is preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team and to tackle problems effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability for attention to detail
- Ability to pro-actively problem solve
- Ability to maintain a positive "can do" attitude under stress
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work

- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience
- Position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana
- Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
- Weekend work and some travel will be required
