The U.S. Naval Academy won their third consecutive team title during the first day of competition Friday at the 2023 USA Gymnastics Men's Collegiate National Championships in Springfield, Mass. The U.S. Air Force Academy followed closely in second, and host Springfield College finished third in team competition.

Navy posted a 396.800 to take home team gold ahead of Air Force, who secured silver with a 395.500, and Springfield, who took bronze with a 387.350. The College of William & Mary landed fourth with a 382.200 and Simpson College was fifth with a 360.500.

The event crowned a new all-around champion with Aiden Cuy of William & Mary clinching gold with a combined score 78.450. Springfield's Dominic Ramalho landed just behind Ramalho with a 78.350 and Oliver Zavel of Air Force rounded out the podium with a 77.450. The championships continue with individual event finals Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

The Collegiate National Championships are the culmination of the collegiate season for military academies and four-year Division I, II or III institutions that sponsor gymnastics as a varsity sport and provide two or fewer full scholarships.
