INDIANAPOLIS (February 19, 2023) - Region 3's Caden Clinton and Region 5's Kai Uemura will be the most decorated Elite Team Cup gymnasts in action when the annual event returns February 25 at Louisville's Freedom Hall. As a member of the historically dominant Region 3 team, Clinton will look to add a third team title to his resume after slipping from the top spot in 2022 following back-to-back championships. Meanwhile, Uemura, who was second in the all-around in 2021 and third in 2023, will seek a third-straight individual podium finish.

Additional event veterans have also been named to the provisional team rosters for Regions 3, 5 and 9. Clinton will be joined by 2022 teammates Mason Heath, Kiran Mandava and Chase Mondi. Sasha Bogonosiuk is back for Region 5, and Region 9 will return Ty Jordan and Gavin Zborowski.

Multiple current and former U.S. Men's National Team members previously competed at the Elite Team Cup, including 2022 World team members Asher Hong (Tomball, Texas/Stanford University) and Colt Walker (Cedar Park, Texas/Stanford University) from Region 3, who boast four team titles between them. College standouts Paul Juda (Deerfield, Ill./University of Michigan) and Curran Phillips (Naperville, Ill./Stanford University) competed for Region 5, and 2022 Winter Cup all-around champion Vitaliy Guimaraes (Arvada, Colo./University of Oklahoma) and Stanford's Taylor Burkhart (Morrison, Colo.) represented Region 9.

The Elite Team Cup is being held in conjunction with the 2023 Winter Cup and Nastia Liukin Cup. The competition will stream live on USA Gymnastics' YouTube channel Saturday at 6 p.m. ET. Visit WinterCup.com to learn more and purchase tickets.

Up to eight gymnasts per team may travel to the event, but only six will compete when the regional teams take the floor in Louisville. Provisional rosters for Regions 3, 5 and 9 are listed alphabetically below. The full event lineup is available here.
