INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., February 10, 2022 - U.S. trampolinists will make their first FIG World Cup circuit appearance of 2022 this weekend at the Milli Gimnastika Arenasi in Baku, Azerbaijan. The U.S. will be represented by World team silver medalists Maia Amano of Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy and Cody Gesuelli of Huntsville, Ala./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy, as well as up-and-comer Jace Williams of Cave Creek, Ariz./North Valley Gymnastics. All will look to pick up critical experience on the international stage at this early juncture in the season.

Men's individual qualifications will take place Saturday at 11:15 a.m. local time, followed by women's individual qualifications at 3:40 p.m. The top 16 men will advance to a second qualification round slated for Sunday at noon. The U.S. will also field a men's synchronized trampoline pair featuring Gesuelli and Williams with qualifications set for Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The women's individual finals will kick off at 2 p.m. local time, and the men's individual finals are set for 2:30 p.m. The men's synchronized trampoline finals will close out competition, beginning at 3:45 p.m.

Two additional U.S. athletes - Trevor Harder of Winston Salem, N.C./Carolina Elite Trampoline Academy, and Ryan Maccagnan of Colorado Springs, Colo./Stars Gymnastics - planned to compete at the 2022 Baku World Cup but have withdrawn ahead of the start of competition.
