Bloodborne Pathogens Safety Training is an OSHA-mandated program designed for individuals who may reasonably anticipate contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials in the course of their job duties. ProBloodborne for the Workplace provides training specifically tailored to non-healthcare environments and equips participants with the knowledge to recognize, prevent, and respond to exposure risks.
The course covers an introduction to bloodborne pathogens, how they are transmitted, and the types of bloodborne diseases, including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B (including vaccination information), Hepatitis C, and certain skin diseases. Participants learn about engineering and work practice controls, methods for reducing risk, proper handling of regulated waste, body fluid cleanup procedures, correct glove removal and handwashing techniques, and the appropriate steps for responding to and reporting an exposure incident.
Course Details
Total course time includes 48 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material. An accredited certificate will be available to print from ProTrainings upon course completion. An additional permanent copy will be mailed to your address on file within 5-7 business days after completion of the course.
Minors taking the course must be logged in to their own profile, not their parent/guardian profile, to receive credit for the course. View page 2 of the Parent How-To Guide for further information.
To print course certificates, individuals must have an active USA Gymnastics membership (Recreational Coach, Competitive Coach, Judge, Owner/Managing Director, or Athlete).

$29.95 for USA Gymnastics Members: Recreational Coach, Competitive Coach, Owner/Managing Director, Judge, Meet Director, Athlete (age 14 and older)
This course in not available to non-members
Course fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another individual.
Course registrants must be a minimum of 14 years old.
Member Clubs have the option to register staff members for this course through Group Processing
Participants will have 60 days to complete the course from time of registration. If the course is not completed in 60 days, re-registration and payment is required.
