ProFirstAid is a nationally accredited online CPR (adult, child, and infant) and First Aid certification course that provides a two-year credential and follows the latest American Heart Association ECC/ILCOR guidelines. Individuals currently certified through the Red Cross, AHA, National Safety Council, ASHI, or Medic First Aid are welcome to transition into the ProFirstAid program and receive a new two-year ProFirstAid certificate.
This comprehensive training covers introductory first aid principles and common emergency fears; recognition and response to heart attack, stroke, and cardiac arrest; adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, and Hands-Only CPR; conscious and unconscious choking; bleeding control (capillary, venous, and arterial), shock, and fainting; ongoing injury and illness assessment including mechanism of injury and secondary survey; musculoskeletal trauma, amputations, and head, neck, and back injuries; seizures, eye injuries, allergic reactions, snake bites, diabetes emergencies, burns, and heat and cold-related emergencies including hypothermia and frostbite. The course also emphasizes prevention and safety topics such as car backing awareness, childproofing the home, poison control, pool safety, child abuse and neglect recognition, bloodborne pathogens, risk reduction, and exposure response.
Course Details
Total course time includes 4 hours and 22 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material. An accredited certificate will be available to print from ProTrainings upon course completion. An additional permanent copy will be mailed to your address on file within 5-7 business days after completion of the course.
Minors taking the course must be logged in to their own profile, not their parent/guardian profile, to receive credit for the course. View page 2 of the Parent How-To Guide for further information.
To print course certificates, individuals must have an active USA Gymnastics membership (Recreational Coach, Competitive Coach, Judge, Owner/Managing Director, or Athlete).
The ProFirst Aid certification must be renewed every two years from the date of completion.

$39.95 for USA Gymnastics Members: Recreational Coach, Competitive Coach, Owner/Managing Director, Judge, Meet Director, Athlete (age 14 and older)
This course in not available to non-members
Course fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another individual.
Course registrants must be a minimum of 14 years old.
Member Clubs have the option to register staff members for this course through Group Processing
Participants will have 60 days to complete the course from time of registration. If the course is not completed in 60 days, re-registration and payment is required.
