U107:
Pro First Aid with Skill Evaluation

Online Course

Course Description

Pro First Aid with Skill Evaluation is recommended for individuals obtaining CPR certification for the first time, those whose certification has lapsed for more than six months, or anyone who prefers hands-on practice using a manikin. The blended format is required for those whose employer or licensing agency mandates an in-person skills evaluation. ProFirstAid with Skill Evaluation provides a two-year certification in adult, child, and infant CPR and First Aid. Individuals currently certified through the Red Cross, AHA, National Safety Council, ASHI, or Medic First Aid may transition to ProFirstAid and receive a new two-year certificate. The course is nationally accredited and follows the latest American Heart Association ECC/ILCOR guidelines.

The Single Use Manikin Option (SUMO) allows participants to complete a fully compliant blended course from home, combining online instruction with a live, web-based skills evaluation conducted by a certified ProTrainings Instructor. The cost includes the required single-use manikin(s) and the virtual evaluation session.

The curriculum covers core first aid principles; cardiac emergencies including heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and CPR/AED for adults, children, and infants; choking response; bleeding and shock management; injury assessment and musculoskeletal trauma; medical emergencies such as seizures, allergic reactions, diabetes, heat and cold exposure, burns, and bites; as well as prevention topics including child safety, poison control, pool safety, bloodborne pathogens, and risk reduction.

Course Details

Total course time includes 4 hours and 22 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material. Additional equipment is needed for the hands-on skill evaluation from home.

Please Note: Once the online portion of the course is completed and the final test is successfully passed, participants will be prompted to schedule a webcam-based skill evaluation (required for ProFirst Aid with Skill Evaluation) and enter a shipping address to receive their SUMO Kit/Manikin. Be sure to schedule and complete the skill evaluation within 60 days of your course registration. Once the evaluation is passed, participants will receive full credit for the course. An accredited certificate will be available to print from ProTrainings upon course completion. An additional permanent copy will be mailed to your address on file within 5-7 business days after completion of the course.

Minors taking the course must be logged in to their own profile, not their parent/guardian profile, to receive credit for the course. View page 2 of the Parent How-To Guide for further information.

To print course certificates, individuals must have an active USA Gymnastics membership (Recreational Coach, Competitive Coach, Judge, Owner/Managing Director, or Athlete).

The ProFirst Aid certification must be renewed every two years from the date of completion.
