Hill is the daughter of Tyrone Dixon and the granddaughter of Elouise Dixon, who is her guardian. She has a younger sister, Melissa. Hill graduated from Lenape High School in 2007. Until recently, Hill went by the first name of "Darlene," but has recently decided to use her birth name "Darling."

How did you get involved in gymnastics: My cousins were in dance class and one dropped out, so they put me in gymnastics because they didn't want to waste the membership. I finished the year and four years later, my aunt found Will-Moor.
