ANNAPOLIS, Md., March 25, 2022 - The host Navy Midshipmen picked up their second-straight team title Friday, as the two-day 2022 USA Gymnastics Men's Collegiate National Championships kicked off at Halsey Field House in Annapolis, Md. Air Force's Garrett Braunton (sophomore, Olympia, Wash.) claimed the top all-around spot. Individual apparatus titles will be awarded Saturday.

Navy led the way on five of six apparatus (floor exercise: 68.350, pommel horse: 64.900, still rings: 66.850, vault: 71.150, and parallel bars: 67.250) and posted a cumulative 400.450 en route to the team title. Air Force finished second with a 394.050 while William and Mary (381.050) rounded out the top three.

Braunton and Navy's Isaiah Drake (freshman, Los Angeles, Calif.) delivered the day's standout individual performances. Braunton garnered an 81.450 to edge Drake (81.150) for the all-around crown. Air Force's Erich Upton (freshman, Richmond, Texas) was third with a 77.700, while Springfield's Dominic Ramalho (freshman, Hollis, N.H.) and William and Mary's Christian Marsh (senior, Clarksburg, Md.) were fourth (76.400) and fifth (75.950).

Braunton also notched the high score on floor exercise with a 14.200. Navy's Daniel Clark, Jr. (senior, Avon, Mass.) led the way on pommel horse with a 13.750, while teammates Alexander Brown (senior, Lafayette, La.) and Dhiren Lutchman (senior, Beltsville, Md.) topped the scoresheet on still rings (13.800) and parallel bars (14.150), respectively. Iowa's Amari Sewell (junior, Bowie, Md.) posted the high mark on vault with a 14.750. Air Force's Oliver Zavel (sophomore, Austin, Texas) paced the field on horizontal bar with a 12.900.
