CAIRO, Egypt, March 19, 2022 - Paul Juda (Deerfield, Ill./University of Michigan) claimed the silver medal on floor exercise Saturday at the 2022 FIG Apparatus World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. Juda, who is competing in his first Apparatus World Cup, will look to add additional hardware Sunday at the Cairo International Stadium, having qualified to the three remaining event finals earlier in the week.

Juda's 14.333 on floor was eclipsed only by Israel's Artem Dolgopyat who took the top spot with a 14.500. Ireland's Adam Steele secured the bronze with a 13.933. Juda's U.S. teammate Ian Lasic-Ellis (Dover, Mass./Stanford University) finished eighth with a 12.366.

Alex Diab (Glen Ellyn, Ill./U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center), fresh off of his 2022 Winter Cup still rings title, was sixth in the event final with a 14.366. Armenia's Vahagn Davtyan led the way with a 14.800. Turkey's Ibrahim Colak (14.700) and Italy's Salvatore Maresca (14.633) rounded out the still rings podium.

Juda will compete in the men's vault final Sunday at 7 a.m. ET followed by the parallel bars final at 8:15 a.m. ET. He and Lasic-Ellis will take to the high bar at 9:30 a.m. ET to wrap up competition in Cairo.
